The “Segunda Vida” Group exhibition at Bragg’s is part of CALACA’s 9th Annual Dia de los Muertos and complementing the 2013 Grand Avenue Festival, Calaca will present to the public a contemporary exhibition on the Day of the Dead. Artists will present qualitative pieces, using contemporary techniques in recycle/repurposed items that could become part of an elaborate installation. Artists will be challenge to create contemporary pieces of substance, uniqueness and higher symbolic meaning, thus complementing the core of the ancient celebration.
